Why i don't pose babies

When people think about newborn photos, they think of those photos where the babies are swaddled so tight they can't move, or they're folded into poses while naked...
While these can make great photos, they're honestly my worst nightmare!
Three words that describe my style:
SIMPLE, NATURAL & COMFORTABLE

simple
The shoot takes place in your home, preferably the bedroom.
Plain white bedding, with a light/neutral wall behind.
By using a simple space, the attention is solely on your baby.

natural
I don't use swaddles because i prefer to show your baby as they are, laying naturally, allowing them to move & wiggle, showing their personalities.
Swaddles often restrict your babies
movement, allowing people to put them into poses that they wouldn't naturally go into.
It's just not my style!

comfortable
Now, this refers to both you & your baby.
I want your to feel comfortable & at ease during your newborn shoot, and if you're worrying about your baby making a mess while naked, you aren't going to feel great.
By keeping their nappies on, you can relax and know that we will be mess free (most of the time!).
Nappies are quicker to change than outfits & bedding...
Wearing a nappy and a bodysuit, maintains that day to day feeling for your baby as well.
They'll spend the majority of their time in their onesies, so why not continue that feeling of normality and comfort.
They'll feel more relaxed as a result.
Every photographer has their own style, and it's important that you book a photographer who shoots in a style that you like.
If you're after naked/swaddled photos, i'm not your girl.
But if you're looking for that natural style, get in touch!
